Over 1,000 people have been sent to Lubbock on Sunday, and my dad--who is an interpreter for the deaf--was called into the Salvation Army to help out a physically disabled deaf man, of the name Jules. We just had dinner with him after he went to our church, and he's so kind. It was heartbreaking to hear him 'talk' about how he saw a policeman being shot four times in the chest and head in front of his house by a theif. Jules cannot walk. His house was really close to the levy in New Orleans, and he actually could see the waves crashing (c)
